Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The journal is published to promote philosophical ideas directed on further systematic formation of the complete outlook of modern human, highlighting research papers in the field of humanities, analysis of current social, political and spiritual issues of the day through the lens of philosophical knowledge.

Editorial Board invites authors to cooperation. Papers submitted for publication in the scientific journal “World Vision – Philosophy – Religion” should satisfy listed below requirements.

The scientific journal “Worldview – Philosophy – Religion” has three thematic parts:

– filosophy;
– religion;
– culture studies;

Papers submitted for publication should belong to mentioned topics.

Requirements for the papers

The Scientific Journal “Worldview – Philosophy – Religion” (WPR) accepts for consideration only original and authentic papers, which have never been published before or are submitted/under consideration in another journals. WPR uses a double blind review process to ensure quality of the contributions. Please, send your original and authentic papers by e-mail to: i.mozgoviy@ifsk.sumdu.edu.ua

Manuscript formatting requirements

Papers can be submitted in English, Ukrainian or Russian. If the paper is written not in English, then author information, title, abstract, keywords and bibliography should be additional provided in English.

Papers should be 4000-10000 words long including the following obligatory parts:
Author’s full name and academic title(s), ORCID https://orcid.org/
Author’s full affiliation (including, name of the department, faculty and university, address and e-mail address; if necessary point out the corresponding author). If the author affiliates him/herself with a business organization or institution, please, supply adequate information on the organisation’s full title and address and e-mail address.
Title of the paper (capitalize each meaningful word).
An abstract (150-200 words) to disclose the main idea of the paper and your research results).
Keywords (up to 5 meaningful words/phrases). Always refer to the country(ies) of your research.
Introduction is an obligatory part of the paper, where the author(s) indicates the novelty of the topic and its urgent scientific solutions. The research goal should be clearly stated alongside with research tasks, research methodology, limitations of the research and major sources of references. Indicate the logic of presenting your research material, e.g., define which section contains what information or research findings (theoretical and empirical).
The body of the text should be divided into meaningful sections with individual headings to disclose the essence of this section. Do not make the headings too long – a preferable heading should contain 1-7 words. Every paper should contain Conclusions, where the author(s) should conclude on the research material, without new facts or data. Implications for a future research might also find their place in Conclusions.

In rare case we accept papers with extra explanations in footnotes. It is preferred that the author(s) keep(s) footnotes to a minimum.

Technical requirements

The text may contain tables and figures, which should have separate numbering (one numbering system for tables; another – for figures). They should be placed in the text at the appropriate paragraph (just after its reference) Never use or re-cite tables and figures of original authors, unless you receive a written permission from original authors/publishing house to include such tables and figures in your paper. A copy of such permission should be scanned and e-mailed to the Editorial Office in a PDF format.

Acknowledgments

Authors must list all sources of research support relevant to the article. All grant funding agency abbreviations should be completely spelled out. Declaring funding sources acknowledges funders’ contributions, fulfills funding requirements, and promotes greater transparency in the research process.

Examples of Funding Statement:

“The research leading to these results has received funding from the PROJECT titled “AAA” in the frame of the program “BBB” under the Grant agreement number NNN.”

“This work was supported by the INSTITUTION (Grant agreement number NNN).

“This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

References

References must be in APA (American Psychological Association) style. More details: http://www.apastyle.org/learn/tutorials/basics-tutorial.aspx. References should be clearly cited in the body of the text, e.g. (Smith, 2006) or (Smith, 2006, p.45), if an exact quotation is being used. At the end of the paper the author(s) should present full References in the alphabetical order as follows:

Reviewing a Manuscript for Publication

All scientific articles submitted for publication in Scientific Journal “Worldview – Philosophy – Religion” are double-blind reviewed by at least two academics appointed by the Editors’ Board: one from the Editorial Board and one independent scientist.

Copyright and Open Access License

Authors submitting articles for publication warrant that the work is not an infringement of any existing copyright and will indemnify the publisher against any breach of such warranty. For ease of dissemination and to ensure proper policing of use, papers and contributions become the legal copyright of the publisher unless otherwise agreed.

The following license will apply to the article: CC BY

The CC BY license lets others distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon your work, even commercially, as long as they credit you for the original creation. This is the most accommodating of licenses offered. Recommended for maximum dissemination and use of licensed materials.

The publisher will apply the Creative Commons Attribution Works 3.0 Unported License (CC-BY) to the Article for the purposes of publication in the journal on an Open Access basis. The Editorial Board of Scientific Journal “Worldview – Philosophy – Religion” follows the rules on academic writing and academic ethics, according to the work by Miguel Roig (2003, 2006) “Avoiding plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and other questionable writing practices: A guide to ethical writing”, available online at http://facpub.stjohns.edu/~roigm/plagiarism/. The Editorial Board suggests to potential contributors of the journal, reviewers and readers to dully follow this guidance in order to avoid misconceptions in academic writing.
